Naïma Hamrouni (UQTR) publishes a new text in Le Devoir entitled “Rendre hommage à Joyce Echaquan avec Charles Mills”, in collaboration with Karine Millaire.

The authors explain that colonial domination is not limited to the territorial dispossession of Indigenous peoples, but also extends to the medical field. This reality is illustrated by the death of Joyce Echaquan, a 37-year-old Attikamek woman who, despite acute pain, was not taken seriously by health professionals when she was rushed to the hospital.
