Biography
Laurent Jodoin holds a PhD in philosophy of science (Université de Paris I / Université de Montréal, summa cum laude) and has been an affiliated member of the Centre interuniversitaire sur la science et la technologie since 2016. His research focuses primarily on explanations of complex systems in physics and biology, and more specifically on those involving the concept of entropy. He also works to promote the principles of sustainable development through both his teaching and research; in particular, he leads a large project funded by the International Development Research Centre (IDRC) aimed at improving energy justice for women in rural sub-Saharan Africa.
He has delivered numerous talks in Europe and North America, and has taught at the Université de Montréal and the Université du Québec à Trois-Rivières. He is also a project manager and sustainable development expert at Econoler.
