Summary

This article develops a taxonomy for analyzing the socio-economic disruptions caused by technological innovations. The authors use a transdisciplinary approach to construct the new taxonomy, allowing them to categorize and characterize technologies using concepts and definitions from cybernetics, labor science, and economics.
